The Porsche Taycan has two electrical systems, like every modern EV. The high-voltage pack turns the motors. The lithium 12V wakes the car, locks the doors, runs the contactors, and lights the dash. What to try before you call

Run these checks in order before you call a local operator.

  1. Look for any dashboard glow when you press the brake. A faint glow means the pack is awake. A black dash with no clicks means the 12V is dead.
  2. Try the mechanical key in the fob. The Taycan hides a key blade inside the fob for entry when the 12V is flat.
