What Rivian uses from the factory
The Rivian R1T and R1S shipped with CCS1 from the launch year through the 2026 model year. The connector is the same one used by most modern non-Tesla EVs in North America. Newer Rivians built after the 2026 NACS transition use the NACS plug.

What you do before the call
Get the car out of traffic if it will still roll. Hazards on. Stay belted unless you’re in danger. Pin the map. Add the road name, the direction, the nearest exit, and the closest cross street.
